SDPF24: Pop-Up Poetry-Making Labs at Museum of Us (2 of 3)

Join Us for a poetry-making lab with San Diego Poet Laureate Jason Magabo Perez.

Jason Magabo Perez, Ph.D., will lead three creative writing labs in the Hostile Terrain 94 exhibition. These writing labs are included with general admission, and visitors are invited to drop-in at any point during the labs to participate. All are welcome!

Visitors will engage with the exhibit through the creative process of writing poetry and explore poetry-making techniques like ekphrasis, cut-up, documentary, and collage. This program is part of San Diego Poetry Futures 2024, a community engagement project led by Jason to explore poetry as a form of intergenerational community empowerment.

Three separate writing labs will be offered on Tuesdays in November, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
